Classroom technology used to be simple: a blackboard, chalk, red pens, and a gradebook.
Today, UITS equips IU faculty with state-of-the-art technologies and evidence-based resources for active, effective learning. Supporting faculty in the digital era means providing access to emerging technologies, learning spaces, and resources that complement new teaching methods in over 900 UITS-supported learning spaces across all campuses and medical education centers.
UITS has built smart classrooms that enable video conferencing and collaboration, virtual reality labs, and has adopted the Canvas learning management system to assist faculty in classroom administration.
UITS’s Mosaic Active Learning Initiative is a comprehensive program to bring together the effective technologies and teaching methods to enhance and improve teaching and learning across the university.
